More often than not when people are struggling with a low mood, or worse, they don’t speak to their GP right away, let alone mental health services. They might not know much about what ‘mental health’ is, but they definitely need help to feel better. Sheffield Flourish launched the NEW Sheffield Mental Health Guide this year, and the charity are now asking the community to spread the word so that everyone knows where to go when they’re struggling.
Sheffield Mental Health Guide
The Sheffield Mental Health Guide was created in collaboration with the Sheffield community. The website lists hundreds of support services, activities, and information articles designed to help people who are having a hard time. It also links through to real-life stories on the Sheffield Flourish website, written by people from across the city who live with mental health issues. They also support volunteers to go out into the community and help people get online who might not be confident with technology.
The Mental Health Guide website was built with the community, for the community, and the charity will continue to develop the website based on feedback from the community. But they need help to get the message out to everyone across Sheffield, and they’re asking for people to sign up and let them know if they can help by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
