Whilst participation in our free health services and activities is growing we noticed that the number of women taking part was much higher than men. To encourage more men to get involved we have worked with male health champions to provide opportunities that are focused on men. We have employed a Men’s Health Worker to support the Health Development Worker to deliver activities in the area. He encourages local men to attend sessions like Boxercise, Zumba and delivers separate circuit training classes, cycling and walking groups. He will support and signpost his participants to access other MCDT services and wider health provision.
