Sheffield Healthy Holidays

Sheffield Healthy Holidays is all about trying activities and eating food that does us good!  Sheffield children and young people in receipt of  benefits related-free school meals can now choose from a huge range of  fun free activities happening across the city throughout the holidays – all completely FREE!

The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme is a Department for Education (DfE) and Sheffield City Council funded project which seeks to ensure that the most economically vulnerable children and young people in our communities are supported during the school holiday periods. This city-wide programme provides healthy meals alongside fun activities during the school holidays for school-aged children and young people receiving benefit-related free school meals.

Manor Castle Development Trust manage the Healthy Activities with Food (HAF) programme for Locality C in Sheffield (Manor and Castle, Park and Arbourthorne, Richmond, Woodhouse and Darnall), coordinating a range of activities across the locality such as arts & crafts, drama & dance, sports & games and much, much more.  To do this, we work in partnership with over 30 different community organisations, including primary and secondary schools, to provide a range of activities across Locality C.
